Wool Power’s first international collaboration began when Sheri Von Urff, Founding Director was asked to knit with a ball of yarn that traveled thousands of miles to the United States from Wote, Kenya.

Today Wool Power has spun itself into an organization with a far-ranging focus that has national, local and international alliances and goals, keeping to the original mission, of developing and implementing diverse and unique knitting programs through innovative collaborations.

Knitting together our resources is vital to keeping the art of knitting growing, while creating diverse knitting forums that align ourselves with global concerns.
